Pored Ghost Bonnet

Description:

These fungi were growing in tight clusters and ranged from about 2-5 cm tall. Their caps were white in color, with the center being slightly pointed and had a white blotch. If you look really closely, the caps have many many tiny dots on them. The diameter of the caps ranged just between 1-1.5 cm wide. They felt soft. Their stems were a pale white color.

Habitat:

These white fungi were growing in Singapore American School's rainforest, which is a secondary rainforest. They were growing on some decaying wood on the forest floor. The climate they were living in was quite shady, since they were sheltered by many taller plants. I spotted them at 12:20 PM.

Notes:

Four days ago, there were none of this species of fungi growing in that area.
