Tabernaemontana divaricata
These flowers were growing on a shrub, about 1.5 meters tall. The flowers' five petals were white and were pinwheel-shaped. Its small center is yellow in color. The flowers were approximately 4-5 cm wide. The leaves are green and are about 8-10 cm long and 5-6 cm wide. Its flowers' buds are green colored.
These flowers were growing at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Even though it just rained out there, they were in an area where they can be exposed to sunlight. I spotted these at 6:30 PM.
The Milkwood Pinwheel Flower belongs to the milkwood family, meaning that when its leaves or twigs are broken, they bleed white sap. These flowers are distributed around Asia.
