These mushrooms were growing in a large cluster. Their color is white and light brown, the center of the cap darker brown and getting lighter when spreading to the rims. The middle of the mushroom cap has like a "well" in it, where it's concave. Rims of these mushrooms are jagged and sometimes bent or folded.
I found these mushrooms in Singapore American School's rainforest, which is a secondary forest. They were growing on a chunk of log all clustered together. It was 2:00 when I spotted them and it was partially shady and also quite sunny in the area they were growing.
These species of mushrooms grow mostly on wood and sometimes on the bottoms of trees near the forest floor.

This is a sweet set of pictures! I appreciate your thorough shots and description. We can talk about gills and stems when we look at them again!
