Description:

English holly individual, no fruits, individual tree growth form estimated 6-8ft tall.

Habitat:

9 year-old clear cut in Pack Forest, Eatonville, WA. In an exposed microsite with substantial patches of bare soil nearby, somewhat uncharacteristic of surrounding habitat which was dominated by salal and bracken fern. Several other holly present nearby, some in multi-stemmed thickets and others in single stemmed tree form like this one. Other holly nearby growing nearby rooted among native vegetation.
