Dark-eyed Junco "Slate-colored"

Junco hyemalis

Description:

A male dark-eyed junco, of the slate-colored group of subspecies. The upperparts, throat, flanks and wings are dark grey, but may have some brown. The belly, undertails and outer tails are pure white. The bill is short and whitish.

Habitat:

Wintering in urban area. Could be spotted in various habitats in winter. Breeds in coniferous or mixed woodlands.
