Plume Moth

Hellinsia sp.

Description:

Large plume moth (the largest I have ever seen!). Pale tan coloration with minimal markings. Dark spot on each wing. Cooperative moth allowed me to get photos at all angles and never moved!

Habitat:

Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Semi-wooded area bordering on a brackish water source. Resting on a wildflower.
