Description:

Mushroom seen on a driftwood for orchids. My initial ID for confirmation is Taingang-daga (local term), an edible high-protein tropical mushroom / jelly fungus, Auricularia sp. or Wood Ear Fungus / Black Fungus.

Habitat:

Backyard at Biñan, Laguna.

:D Unfortunately Dr. Sherpa, I don't know anything yet about wild mushrooms... the internet photos look similar, but I am not 100% sure if this is the Taingang-daga (rat's ear translated in English)...
