Description:

Irregular outline, delicately marked, semi transparent white wings with irregular vertical dark lines across them. UP pale creamy white. HW tailed at vein 4 and lobed at tornus. UN pale white in male and pale yellow in female with black veins.

Habitat:

Prefers hills having evergreen forests. Comes to water and rarely seen on flowers. Flies in Himalaya from the terai region upto 2700 m.

It looks like it is a mosaic butterfly.

I found one of these butterflys hear in Japan. A few months earlier I had found one of its caterpillars in a climbing fig hedge. the caterpillar was approximately 1.25 inches of 3 cm long. With two horn like projections on its back. Its colors were black and green.
