Buckeye spotted resting on a blade of tall grass after a thunderstorm in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, OK. I know these butterflies are really quite common, but this is the first time I have been able to get a good photo of one with the back of the wings showing, so I was quite grateful to this little fella.
