Description:

Identification Marks: Palpi are upturned and smoothly scaled. Head and thorax pale brick red; mid tibia spined; the tibia fringed with long hair in male; abdomen is fuscous tinged with grey. Fore wings with the apex somewhat acute; outer margin nearly straight; pale brick red coloured; markings indistinct; short subbasal waved line; antemedial; medial and postmedial lines are waved and often double. Hind wings are black, basal area tinged with fuscous grey; the white medial band less prominent; the marginal spots smaller that at anal angle obsolescent. (W.S.♂ 60 mm, ♀ 63 mm).
