Grey Heron (chicks)

Ardea cinerea

Description:

The chicks were doing this thing with their throats...the part at in the curve of the throat. It's hard to describe. Please check out this little video to see what I mean: https://youtu.be/3UqwGEwBoKM

Habitat:

In the nest still which is on a dead tree branch in the middle of a small lake at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary. They are NOT captive birds. When they have fledged they will be free to come and go like the adults.

Notes:

There were these three chicks sitting in the nest with another nest on a branch below - with the adult attending to it.
