Orthosia hibisci
Family: Noctuidae, Subfamily Noctuinae, Tribe: Orthosiini (Spring Quakers, Woodlings and Woodgrains). A common nocturnal moth (but mine was flying during the day.) Total length: 20-23 mm. Grayish brown FW is variably mottled brown. Two white circle spots on each wing with black spot also on each wing. Hosts: Deciduous trees and woody plants.
Driveway near woodlands and meadow flying during the day. I thought it was a leaf blowing because it is so windy today.
Looks so similar to Ruby Quaker Moth (Orthosia rubescens) that I can barely tell the difference.
