Hirundo neoxena
"Young Welcome Swallows are buffy white, instead of rusty, on the forehead and throat, and have shorter tail streamers." (Birdlife Australia)
Clumped together on a branch overhanging the Frankland River.
These three young ones were being fed by two adults (see one of the adults at spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/210... ) I found this quite interesting: "Welcome swallows also can cooperate with other birds or companions to drive the insects together.[11] It can remember the insects’ activity routines to make its foraging be more efficient." (Wiki) And this: "Sometimes they even occur at sea — the name ‘Welcome’ swallow comes from sailors who knew that the sight of a swallow meant that land was not far away." (Birdlife Australia) Further reference: http://birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/welc...
