Yellow Garden Spider egg case

Description:

A papery sphere lashed to some twigs with surprisingly strong yellowish fibers. Not absolutely certain of species ID. Yellow Garden Spider is my best guess.

Habitat:

Found on the branches of thorny plants around a pond. I saw many more of the same kind around the perimeter of the pond.

Notes:

Please help me identify this!

I think you're right about the spider egg sac. This might even be the spider responsible http://photography-on-the.net/forum/show...
