Jumping Spider

Bavia sp.

Description:

Salticidae; Salticinae; Bavia sp. According to Wikipedia, there are four Bavia spp. in the Philippines. They are: Bavia gabrieli Barrion, 2000, Bavia intermedia (Karsch, 1880), Bavia maurerae (Freudenschuss & Seiter, 2016), Bavia planiceps (Karsch, 1880). I have been unable to identify any of them because of lack of information and images from any reliable sources.

Habitat:

Spotted in our backyard on the back of a plastic garden chair.
