Antilophia galeata
Male (pictured) is a largish black manakin 14.5cm (5.75"). All black apart from the nape up over the crown which is a deep rich red. Has a small double crest above the bill shown on image 4.
Found in middle growth of gallery forest in the Panatanal near Port Jofre.
This species is a near endemic to Brazil but has been recorded just over the borders of Bolivia and Paraguay.
