Sandhill Crane

Grus canadensis

Description:

This was taken right after the Fall Semester. We did an ethogram of Sandhill Crane agonistic behaviors. Anyways there is usually a flock (10-30) behind an apartment complex usually in the mornings and evenings. I was so shocked to see this. The Sandhill Crane is from the Gruidae family and Gruiformes order.

Habitat:

Near a pond behind an apartment complex. Suburban Area.

Notes:

Picture was taken in Orlando, FL.
