Here's my beetle! I gave up and marked it as the same species. It looks right and is in the correct range. I couldn't get quite as close with my little point-and-shoot though. ;-)

Nice shots!
Hah! I just found one of this genus yesterday. I just can't be sure that it's this particular species. Mine looks more shiny than yours. I'll be posting it tomorrow. Stay tuned!
