Description:

This mushroom had a broadly convex cap that had a greyish brown metallic look. Pale felty patches were seen on the cap (pic1). Gills were a cream color and crowded. The stipe was pale, thick and fibrillose with an annulus that was striated. Pic 5 shows one of the mushrooms being attacked by another fungus !

Habitat:

Forest floor in leaf debris- damp eucalyptus forest

Notes:

Seen growing in clumps. One of the mushrooms was covered with fungus - white mycelia.
