False Dandelion

Genus: Agoseris

Description:

Looks like a teeny tiny dandelion! Whole blossom smaller than my fingernail. Long stems, slightly hairy. Small, very-clustered, Dandelion-like leaves at the base. What appear to be seed-pods or spent blooms tower above the current blooms.

Habitat:

My backyard- a rather [thus far] neglected Florida turkey-oak/pine sandhill . (This is in the process of being rectified as I turn it into a native habitat again.) Many of what I assumed were "weeds" when we moved in last summer have turned out to be Wildflowers- a few of them even Endemics. So I never take anything for granted now!
