Pygmy Bats

Description:

A species of small bats roosting together under the cave ceiling (small black dots in picture 3). Body smaller than an adult's palm.

Habitat:

Sleep inside Madai Caves during the day, Kunak, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy: 2km diameter. I hope somebody can identify this at least at the family level by looking at the bat's ear in picture 1. Possibly a Rhinolophus or Hipposideros bat as suggested by AfriBats.

A bit blurry but I would say either a horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus sp.) or a roundleaf bat (Hipposideros sp.)
