Description:

The Scarlet Mormon is a butterfly of the Papilionidae family. It is found in the Philippines, but has been recorded as a vagrant to southern Taiwan. Wingspan is about 4 - 4.5 inches where the female is larger than the male. Larva feeds on wild and cultivated citrus.

Habitat:

a very wide spread species , it inhabits the marshlands, marginal forests, and cultivated land but avoids strong sunlight.
