Wasp Moth

Amata sp.

Description:

Erebidae; Arctiinae; Syntomini; Amata sp. This kind of moth is a wasp mimic, hence its common name, Wasp Moth.

Habitat:

Spotted in the farm on Tropical Whiteweed (Ageratum conyzoides Linn.). Plant identification from - http://stuartxchange.com/Bulak.html...

Notes:

There are more than 60 displayed in https://philepidoptera.wixsite.com/moths...... but few are identified to species level. The one in my photos looks pretty much like PhiLep's Amata sp.
