Mycena nargan

Description:

This pretty mycena had a cap about 10mm wide. The dark cone-shaped cap had pale margins. The significant feature of this mycena is the white flecks on the cap. gills were white and the slightly flecked stipe had a tinge of grey.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in woody debris in a damp gully.

Notes:

The white flecks disappear with age, making identification difficult.
