The only black and white kingfisher, with long black bill and short black crest. Medium sized bird, reaching some 25 cm in length.
Very common kingfisher, always seen close to the water bodies - impressive style of fishing, with the bird hovering 2 - 3 meters above the water before throwing itself downwards...
I must say these three shots are not one shot copied three times and cropped differently - they were really three successives photos while the bird was intently observing the water underneath...
