This gull was feeding on half a pigeon- presumably that it had found somewhere, rather than killed itself.

Yes, thinking about it, this was quite a large and aggressive looking gull, and there are a lot of decrepit pigeons in central London, so I suppose it would make sense!
Gulls are know to kill other birds for food so it is possible.
