Petrochelidon pyrrhonota
Black cap and white triangle patch on forehead. Rusty color throat, cheeks and rump. Dark colored wings and tail. Small patches of white on back. Buff color breast to light colored belly. Different Swallows make their nest differently. Tree Swallows in tree cavities, Bank Swallows in holes they dig on walls of river banks or ocean cliffs, Barn Swallows are cup shaped made from mud, sticks and rocks. The Cliff Swallow makes gourd shaped nests made of mud with a small entry hole. They usually make them in colonies on vertical walls of cliffs, under bridges or overpasses.
Near most large bodies of water. This is under a bridge over a slough.
