Description:

Endemic to the Philippines, (Luzon Island). Small, sexes alike, brightly colored, noisy and conspicuous.

Habitat:

Confined to the lowlands in forest, forest edge, scrubs, gardens and cultivated areas, in groups and in mixed flocks. Small cup-shaped nests containing 4 pale blue or white eggs are placed in fork of branches in small trees a few meters from the ground (this one is about 1½ meter from ground). Breeding recorded from April to June.
