Cattail Borer

Bellura obliqua

Description:

This cryptically-patterned moth seems to be in a gloomy state, but I find it to nevertheless be quite fantastic! This species is quite variable and although uncommon can be found near ponds with Cattails (Typha sp.) in quite frequent numbers.

Notes:

Lifer!
