Description:

Family: Saturniidae, Subfamily: Ceratocampinae (Royal Silkmoths). TL: 26 mm. Wingspan up to 52 mm. A common very bright yellow and pink moth. Plush yellow thorax and abdomen. Hosts: Maple and oak. Adults do not feed.

Habitat:

Deciduous woods. Found at edge of woods to lawn on some leaves.
