Description:

Appears like a crawling herbaceous perennial, or a disorderly mass of thistle-like leaves and thistle-like flowerheads thrown together on a heap. Flowerheads grows directly from the rosette, they are stemless.

Habitat:

Montane pastures.

Notes:

Important melliferous plant on montane and alpine pastures.
