White-crowned Sparrow

Zonotrichia leucophrys

Habitat:

This bird looked to be feeding on something in the apple flowers at Heald Orchard conservation area on a stopover during its migration back to the arctic to breed.

Notes:

White-crowned Sparrows will share their territories with Fox Sparrows, but chase Chipping Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos until they leave. (Cornell)
