Eastern Tailed Blue Butterfly

Description:

Small butterfly. Usually rests with wings folded. This is shown in the second photo. If patient, the butterfly opens 45 degrees and shows the beautiful blue that is apparent when the butterfly is in flight as shown in the first picture. This butterfly is frequently pollinating ground cover.

Habitat:

A new made butterfly garden. However the butterfly rested on plant debris surrounding the colorful plants that attract the butterfly.
