Imported Willow Leaf Beetle larvae

Plagiodera versicolora

Description:

Small, dark larvae. Black heads, dark brownish bodies with hints of yellow. Small, spines along body. Similar looking to Lady Beetle Larvae. Turns into a small, black beetle with a blue-black shine (see link below to my spotting of the adults). Both larvae and adults feed on Willow.

Habitat:

Suburban yard, infesting an ornamental Willow tree.
