Sistrurus miliarius barbouri
Textbook example of a neonate Dusky Pygmy. Very feisty, but ultimately harmless unless handled.
Flipped under a log in a sandy prescribed burn zone not far from Morris Lake. It was exactly 78F outside with no cloud cover.
Not many snakes were found on this trip, but this little guy made up for it. Probably the smallest venomous snake I've ever encountered.

Great catch Brady. Sometimes the little ones are cooler than the bigger ones, and definitely harder to find. Thankss for sharing.
