Autographa precationis
Shiny gold patches on wings with two small white dots, overall brown. Thorax has a large ridge with a smaller ridge behind it. About half an inch.
Seen on wall attracted by light.
I've seen this moth before I just don't know what it's called.
Lafontaine and Poole state that A. precationis has a thin line around the reniform spot (a spot only partially visible, right behind/below the circular white dot), while Chrysodeixis includens doesn't have this spot.
