Spiny Oak-Slug Moth

Description:

Family: Limacodidae (Slug Moths) Length: 10-15 mm Chocolate brown FW is marked with chestnut and black patches. Isolated mint green patches in inner median and subapical areas can be fused or even absent on some moths. Very hairy. Hosts: Trees and woody plants such as apple, beech, chestnut, maple and oak.

Habitat:

Woodlands, fields, orchards, yards (where host plant is found) Came to light.
