Neetle caterpillar

Setora nitens

Habitat:

kalamansi tree

Notes:

I was picking kalamansi when suddenly my hand gets painfully itchy. I looked for the leaves and found this half inched size bright-colored caterpillar. I might have disturbed it while he was eating.

Thanks guys! Not quite actually familiar with caterpillars. I only know that this is Limacodidae.

Agree, not quite the right color for nitens. Definitely setora sp.

This looks a bit like Setora nitens - Coconut Nettle grub. Yes, famous for their stings. I remember that the discomfort is a 24 hour thing, but you can read up on that.
