Pieris mannii
spotted on mountain at 1500 m/asl, forest clearing
Looking at the extension of the black edge and the size of the spot I think yours is Pieris mannii. Please, verify!! Tough one...
I added more photos...very similar to first one, butterflies had some summer party yesterday by the creek, so on second picture are other species...
When I'm not sure for ID, a left it to you :D I thought it is P. brassicae, now I don't know...I have two more pictures very similar to this one, will upload them, maybe will be helpfull
I know where you do not have the ID...!
Any other picture? I think it is impossible from this shot to be 100% sure. Definitely a Pieris sp., but which one?
Personally I don't think it is Pieris rapae. My closest guess would be Pieris brassicae, Pieris napi meridionalis or Pieris mannii. I would tend to Pieris mannii. But I would need more pictures to confirm that...
