Jumping Spider

Platycryptus undatus

Description:

A quick, skittish, wonderfully camouflaged jumping spider.

Habitat:

Island on the Rock River.

Notes:

I found this spider wandering on a tree while camping on an island for an overnight kayaking trip. Another first for me with this species. For the life of me, I couldn't get him to look at the camera like most jumping spiders do. I need to visit these islands more often.
