Tapioca Slime

Tapioca slime is a white mass, producing large, whitish, tapioca-like foam. Found throughout North America.


This tapioca slime was spotted in the forest on dead wood at Pocomoke River State Park, Pocomoke City, Maryland.

Wow! Thanks Mark. I'll put it into the "other" category. Slime mold is some strange looking stuff for sure. Had never seen it before. Thanks!

Hi mary.. Brefeldia maxima is a plasmodial slime mold in the Amoebozoa kingdom and not related to fungi. It should be in 'Other' category.
