Tylopilus felleus
Bitter Bolete mushroom. Large, tannish brown cap with pinkish white pores; webbed, tannish brown stalk. Grows singly or scattered, on the ground in mixed woods. June–November. Found in East Asia, Northern Europe and eastern North America.
Spotted two of these bitter bolete mushrooms on the forest roadside at Pocomoke River State Park in Pocomoke City, Maryland

Thanks Mark. I've corrected the scientific name by adding an "L". The largest of the two mushrooms was about 4 inches across and chunky on the sides.
Thanks also Leuba for comment. Pocomoke River State Park is beautiful with so much forest to roam and seeing the mountain laurel in bloom, and also hearing all the birds singing.
(just noticed a typo - sci name needs an 'L' Tylopilus felleus) ;-)
