Brown Jay

Cyanocorax morio

Description:

The Brown Jay (Psilorhinus morio) is a large American Jay which has the habitus of a magpie, but is slightly smaller and with a shorter tail, though the bill is larger.

Habitat:

It occurs from Mexico south into Central America on the Gulf slope.

Notes:

The locals considered this bird to be a pest. I think it was always taking the fruit off the trees...

Loudest birds I have seen, always traveling with others of it's kind, I do not mind their noise and they can come to my trees anytime!!
