Cicadellidae family
Leafhopper is a common name applied to any species from the family Cicadellidae. These minute insects, colloquially known as hoppers, are plant feeders that suck plant sap from grass, shrubs, or trees. Like other Exopterygota, the leafhoppers undergo direct development from nymph to adult without a pupal stage. While many leafhoppers are drab little insects as is typical for the Membracoidea, the adults and nymphs of some species are quite colorful.
Seen at Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary.

Even I learnt a lot from the day I joined Noah :-) Thanks again for your compliments.
You are very welcome Satyen. It really is a lovely and detailed image, which made my efforts possible in the first place. I didn't know much about hoppers when i joined NOAH, but I'm learning quite a lot. Always glad to see them in the new spottings.
Thanks a lot Lori. I really appreciate the efforts taken by you to help me ID this :-)
Hi again Satyen, I've found a photo of "jassid" nymph (Tribe Iassini ) that looks very similar to your spotting - possibly even a different instar. http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/I... At the very least, I think you can say it is a Cicadellidae sp.
Thanks Lori.
Fantastic photo. I think you are right about it being a hopper nymph.
