Red Wattlebird

Anthochaera carunculata

Description:

Large wattlebird with yellow abdomen, small red pendant wattle below ear. Young birds lack wattles. White tips on tail and wing tips very obvious in flight. Noisy, active aggressive and vigorous.

Habitat:

Weddin Mountains National Park near Grenfell NSW
