Description:

Family: Saturniidae, Subfamily Saturniinae (Giant Silkworm Moth) Male. Wingspan: 75-105 mm. Apple green wings are marked with sleepy-looking elliptical eyespots outlined yellow, white and black. HW has long, slightly twisted tails. No mouthparts. Does not eat.

Habitat:

Woodlands, meadows, comes to light. Wherever host trees are found

Notes:

Caught in a spider web on my screen window. Released unharmed.
