Colorful finch - adult brown to buffish, with characteristic red face, white cheeks and black cap, and yellow wing bar. Juvenile (photo 3 and 4), mainly buffish (including head), with yellow wing bar well visible.
Mediterranean. Garrigue like vegetation, seen in french island of Embiez.
