Spotting

Description:

A shiny silver/gray/brown salamander or skink with a red nose. A dark stripe stripe on either side of its body extended from head to tail.

Habitat:

Discovered when a lid was lifted off a utility port to reveal pipes. This organism was resting on the mud, with several other small organisms of the same type, one of which was speckled. On a family farm, on the bluffs above the west branch of the Red River

Notes:

It quickly moved to hide under a wedge of mud a few inches away.
