Spotting

Description:

cap: diam: 4.5 - 14 cm. height: 1.7 - 4.5 cm. reddish brown become yellow brown in age. sticky/greasy feel. smooth. very edge of margin is lifted up. flesh stains blue green immediately. hemisphere when young, convex in age. taste: not remarkable. pores: 8 per 5mm. at first pore surface is red, in age turns yellow-brown. pore surface stains green-brown immediately. pores are slightly angular. surface is highly not smooth: many hills and valleys like a frozen stormy sea. spore surface is free from stem (surface is depressed at stem) pore layer is very thin against cap flesh 2-4mm in small specimen. stem: length: 7-14cm top width: 2-3.5cm bottom 2.5-4cm. top half is yellow with red reticulation. reticulation continues all the way to bottom of stem. bottom half of stem is reddish brown to black in age. stem surface stains green immediately. stem flesh stains blue immediately.

on tended grass near pond and various trees

I had prepared a cap for spore prints but it was cleaned away before I could check print.
