Indian Thick-knee

Burhinus indicus

Description:

This is an adult because of more pronounced streaking. This species is similar to Eurasian Thick-knee but the bill is more yellow in the latter one.

Habitat:

Moist deciduous forest of Kanha National Park, India

Notes:

It flew away when my team and I approached unaware of its presence there. After that it landed some 50 m away and looked at us curiously. It was resting in shade.
